T‑Mobile New Horizons

The T‑Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival, supported by T‑Mobile Polska, has been a celebration of film that goes beyond the boundaries of conventional cinema. It is a festival of cinematic visionaries: uncompromising artists who have the courage to forge their own path contrary to prevailing fashions and to broach the most challenging subjects using their own unique language.

It is a festival that is constantly evolving, expanding the repertoire, enriching the settings and gathering a larger and larger audience. Attendance at each festival event ranges from 110 to 125 thousand viewers. 500 films from over 40 countries are shown during each edition of the festival. Several hundred special guests come to Wrocław from all over the world (including directors, producers, film critics, actors and musicians). The T‑Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival is currently the largest film festival in Poland and one of the largest film festivals in Central and Eastern Europe.

The T‑Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival has been created to show artistic films, crossing the borders of conventional cinema, to a broader public. This is not only a place for presenting new artistic trends in contemporary cinema, but also a place for educating successive generations of cinema lovers. Numerous retrospectives of the works of cinematic masters and reviews of classics from world cinematography take place at the festival.

The festival is a place where you can meet prominent artists, individuals creating their own unique style and cinematic language. Every year the festival gathers a multitude of supporters of ambitious cinema; cinematography far from the commercial norms; viewers in search of new experiences. The T‑Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival is not only a review of films selected from hundreds of proposals presented at film festivals around the world; it also includes special events: concerts, performances and exhibitions.

The T‑Mobile New Horizons is one of the few places where challenging and engaging art attracts a mass audience. Enthusiasts of the festival who have been attending since its inception are called “the New Horizons generation”, and the term “new horizon cinema” has permanently entered into the moviegoers lingo. Further proof that the T‑Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival is shaping the tastes and trends of European culture.
