Responsible in the digital world


 

We don’t want anyone to feel digitally excluded and we want technology use to be safe. Because our impact on our surroundings is not only reacting to what’s happening here and now, but also looking ahead into the future.


 

We must remember the basis of our business – we deliver services and technology and we’re responsible for how they affect society. That’s why we especially want to talk about two issues. Firstly, we need to care for those who can be overwhelmed by technology – seniors. Secondly, we must care for those who know tech all too well – the youngest users – and care for their security.


 

Network of Generations

 
The “Network of Generations” project connects generations. It aims to popularize access to new technologies and improve the technological abilities of seniors. We’ve given them the tools and knowledge necessary to develop their hobbies and connections to their families. We’ve acquainted them with technology and its possibilities. As part of the initiative, we’ve supplied internet-access enabling tech to senior’s homes and social care homes across Poland.
Seniors also received free access to a tailor-made “The digital world for everyone” course, in which the most important terms about computer use, Internet use and Internet security were explained step-by-step. For participants with additional questions, we have also organized phone consultations with our hotline employees.

 

In the winning position

 
In our educational “In the winning position” initiative focused on teens and young adults, we wanted to be their guide to the world of modern technology, using language friendly for this target audience. We have collaborated on this project with young and popular influencers who build their careers on the internet. Chosen content creators shared their experiences with hate, self-acceptance, privacy protection and security. They took part in live meetings, during which participants could ask them questions in a live chat. Topics included reacting to negative comments, fake news and protecting one’s privacy in social media.

 

Socially responsible

 
Our goal at T-Mobile Polska is to conduct our business in a way that doesn’t omit the societal impact of our company’s activities. We know how important people are to us – our employees, customers, local communities and people with special needs. Our social initiatives are aimed at a wide group of stakeholders. They’re also helped by our employees, who thanks to an active mindset, involve themselves in both searching for people we can help as well as the help itself.
