Thomas Lips will transition to the new role at the central structures of Deutsche Telekom, leaving T-Mobile Polska

After 4 years in the Management Board of T-Mobile Polska, Thomas Lips transition to the central structures of DT, taking the responsibility for the area of "IoT Delivery".

As Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Thomas Lips has been a Member of the Management Board for the last 4 years. He was responsible for the development and maintenance of the network as well as IT infrastructure, Data Center and Technological Innovations.

  • Through the years spent in Poland, Thomas became known as a person who consistently pursues goals. The undeniable proof for that, is the network quality leadership, that we have consequently maintained for years. T-Mobile Polska can also be proud of the modern Network Operations Center, under which the Security Operations Center was launched. T-Mobile does not only stand for quality, but also important innovations like HD Voice +, VoLTE or VoWiFi, which we implement primarily with regard to the satisfaction of our customers

Thomas Lips has been associated with Deutsche Telekom for over 20 years, holding managerial positions for 11 years (including four years as CTIO at T-Mobile Polska). During his professional career he was responsible for numerous strategic projects, including the transformation and development of Asian and European operator’s network infrastructures.

  • Thomas Lips, Member of the Management Board of T-Mobile Polska, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, will transition to the new roll at the central structures of DT, taking the responsibility for the area of "IoT Delivery" where he will be responsible for the planning and implementing of services related to the Internet of Things, effective from August 15th, 2019.
  • A new Board Member responsible for Technology and Innovation will join the T-Mobile Polska structures effective from September 16th this year. He will be announced in the second half of June.
  • During the transition period, Andreas Maierhofer, President of the Management Board of T-Mobile Polska, will supervise the TI Division.
